2014 Holyman Pinot Noir

2010 Holyman Pinot Noir

Campbell Mattinson

THE WINEFRONT / SEPTEMBER 2015

The latest handiwork of Joe Holyman.

Vibrant colour.  It looks rich-ish and lively but it's fine and light-ish to taste.  A perfumed, drinking style, more cranberry and boysenberry than plum or black cherry, with subtle/appropriate twists of dried herb complexity.  Beautifully polished.

Squeaky with clean, pure, water-based fruit.  Beautiful drinkability.  And with aromatics that you could sit and soak in for hours.  But attractive as it is to drink, ultimately the palate probably isn't quite up to previous releases.
